MY JOURNEY

How I became the engineer I am today.

2024 – Present

S&P Global

Changing jobs can be stressful and challenging — which is why it’s so rewarding when that change happens in a positive way. The scale of my new employer has introduced me to an even broader set of challenges. It feels like a natural extension of the experience I’ve gained so far. In some areas, I’m learning from scratch; in others, I can fully rely on what I already know and push my skills to their limits. That’s even more exciting than I expected!

There’s one more important thing to highlight — the wide range of growth paths available. Deep down, I feel confident that whatever changes the IT market faces, especially with the rapid development of AI, I’ll be ready.

2019 – 2024

JMB Lab

As a full-stack developer, I had the best possible start. Thanks to increasingly challenging tasks and the mentorship of my manager — whose guidance and knowledge were invaluable — I improved faster than I could have ever imagined. It felt like I gained more in my first year there than I had in three years of university. And I had so much fun doing it!

Also, the wide range of tasks helped me hone my skills across many areas, and to this day, I continue to draw on the experience I gained there. I’m grateful that life gave me the chance to work at JMB Lab. If someone rewound my life and asked me to choose again, I would choose JMB Lab without hesitation.

2018 – 2023

Gdańsk University of Technology

The one thing I treasure most from my time at university is the people. Studying for exams together, collaborating on projects and presentations, wrestling with algorithms, and sometimes just grabbing a beer — these shared moments made all the difference. Without them, my time at university would have been merely an intense academic period, but instead, it became an unforgettable experience.

Without my time there, I wouldn’t be who I am today. It gave me a great group of friends. It gave me countless good memories. And most importantly, it gave me the foundation to become an engineer.
